How Does TheraClear®X Work?

A handheld device applies gentle suction to the treatment area, followed by pulses of broadband light. TheraClear®X is FDA cleared to treat mild-to-moderate acne, including clogged pores, pustules, and inflammatory breakouts. Your provider will evaluate your skin and discuss whether it fits your acne treatment plan.

  • Is TheraClear®X right for my acne? TheraClear®X is intended for mild-to-moderate acne. During a consultation, we can assess your breakouts, discuss your treatment goals, and recommend an approach for your skin.
  • What does treatment feel like? The device uses gentle suction and a liquid-cooled handheld applicator to deliver broadband light. It is designed to be a comfortable treatment without pre-medication.
  • When will I see results? Some patients may see visible improvement as early as their second treatment. Your provider will recommend a treatment plan based on your skin; individual results vary.
  • Will I need time to recover? TheraClear®X has no downtime, so you can resume normal activities after your appointment. Your provider will give you any skin care instructions specific to your treatment.
